Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Location: Spokane, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position may float between units, including outpatient surgical center.
- On-call required to meet department needs (weeknights or weekends).
- Weekends required only if on-call.
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1.
- Special requirements: Proficient in scrubbing pediatric, ENT, and plastic surgery cases.
- 48-hour shifts are not approved.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Proficient in scrubbing pediatric surgery cases
- Proficient in scrubbing plastic surgery cases
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required and must be updated annually.
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests accepted).
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- Education verification required.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Various state-specific background and registry checks as required by Washington state law.
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background).
- Completion of required training modules via LMS platform (WorkRamp), including:
- Annual regulatory requirements.
- Specialty-specific modules for Surgical Tech.
- Facility-specific modules as applicable.
- May be required to float to other units or facilities within reasonable distance.
Work Environment
- Charting system: Epic.
- No parking fees.
- Scrub color: Not specified for this role.
- May be required to work in a Level II Trauma Center environment.

- This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment.
- On-call and weekend availability is necessary.
- Candidates should be comfortable with pediatric, ENT, and plastic surgery cases.
