Job Opportunity: Oncology Radiation Therapist

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 7 weeks


Job Description

Seeking a Radiation Therapist with experience in oncology radiation therapy for an 8-week contract position. The role involves working with adult cancer patients using advanced radiation therapy equipment.


Patient Population

  • Adults only
  • All cancer-related diagnoses
  • Patient ratio: 2:1
  • Average patients per day: 20-45

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Varian True Beam and Aria systems
  • Experience with Linear Accelerators and administering radiation treatments
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT-Radiation Therapy

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold)
  • Experience with SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)

Work Environment & Support

  • Support team includes Lead Therapist, other therapists, providers, leadership, and RN staff
  • No floating required
  • EMR system used: Aria
  • Orientation up to 1 week, depending on comfort level

Schedule

  • Shift: Approximately 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (may vary based on volume)
  • No weekend shifts
  • No on-call duties
  • No holiday work required

Additional Information

  • Scrub color: Any solid color
  • Free on-site parking
  • First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required)
