Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Specialty: Surgical Services

  • Shift Options:

    • 06:45 - 15:15
    • 09:30 - 18:00
    • 14:45 - 23:15
  • Types of Cases Required:

    • Cardiac surgery including CABG (on/off pump), AVR, MVRR, TVRR, aortic aneurysm/dissection, total artificial heart, heart transplant, LVAD implantation, minimally invasive valve replacement, trans-catheter mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacement
    • Vascular surgery including endovascular and open vascular procedures: AAA, thoracic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm (including fenestrated grafts), endarterectomy, bypass for peripheral artery disease, amputation, ECMO decannulation and repositioning
  • Preferred Case Experience:

    • General, endo/laparoscopic, vascular, thoracic, bariatrics, transplant
  • Specific CVOR Case Experience Required:

    • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
    • Atrial Septal Defect repair
    • Carotid endarterectomy
    • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
    • Endovascular Aneurysm Repair
    • Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR)
    • Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
    • Mitral Valve Replacement
    • Pericardial Window
    • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
    • Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
    • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
    • ECMO
  • Operating Rooms: 6 total (4 ORs, 1 Hybrid, 1 PV)

  • Weekend Requirement: Up to 2 weekends per month, holiday call as needed

  • On-Call Requirement: Up to 2 weekends per month, up to 2 weekdays per week, holiday call as needed

  • Floating: No floating required

  • Locals Accepted: No (must be outside 100 mile radius)

  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Return to Office Restrictions: No more than 5 days


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist within the last year
  • National Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with the following CVOR cases:
    • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
    • Atrial Septal Defect repair
    • Carotid endarterectomy
    • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
    • Endovascular Aneurysm Repair
    • Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR)
    • Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
    • Mitral Valve Replacement
    • Pericardial Window
    • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
    • Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
    • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
    • ECMO

  • Scrub color: Provided by facility for this position

Additional Notes

  • Up to 2 weekends per month and holiday call required
  • No floating to sister facilities or block schedule accommodations
  • Parking available at a flat rate
  • Candidates must complete all required background checks, certifications, and health documents prior to start
  • Modules and training hours vary by specialty and must be completed on time to avoid delays

This position is ideal for CVOR Techs with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac and vascular surgical cases who are open to travel assignments and meet the certification and health requirements listed above.
