Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal

Location: Montclair, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer
• Shifts: Variable shifts throughout the week, including early morning and some evening hour shifts (5x8s)
• Equipment: GE ultrasound machines
• Charting system: Epic (preferred)
• Note: First-time travelers accepted; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including at least 2 years of Maternal Fetal (MFM) ultrasound experience
• Recent Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
• Certification: ARDMS-FE (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Fetal Echocardiography)
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Experience specifically in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I9 verification and E-Verify compliance
• Education verification (highest level required)
• Drug screening (negative 10-panel within 90 days)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit test for masks within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Photo for badge required
• References: 2 professional references for travel/allied/per diem acute care roles within 2 years

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted
• Must be willing to work variable shifts including early mornings and evenings
• Candidates must be able to pass all background checks and health requirements prior to start
