Occupational Therapist (OT) - Temp Position

Location: Moore, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL (Activities of Daily Living) physical functioning disorders.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly; evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services as needed.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic records.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to NBCOT and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma
• Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) and Rehabilitation settings
