Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation Therapy

Location: Delta, Colorado

Job Summary

Provide physical therapy services to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director. The goal is to improve patients' functional abilities through assessment, treatment planning, and therapy administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to develop physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
• Administer manual and nonmanual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities.
• Use assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Provide physical therapy treatments including massage, traction, physical agents, hydrotherapy, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound.
• Supervise treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
• Evaluate patient progress and fit of prosthetic/orthotic devices; recommend adjustments.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate with healthcare team members.
• Design and instruct home exercise programs for patients and caregivers.
• Document patient care services accurately in records.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control policies.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of therapy equipment.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and professional development.
• Provide training and development for physical therapy staff.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to team efforts and related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Colorado
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy (based on highest requirement interpretation).
