Description

Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit Size: 12 beds
Staff: 40 total
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 clerk, 1 PCT
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 PCT
Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
Equipment: Vitals machines, rolling workstations
EMR Systems: CPN & Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN experience, with OB/GYN experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Post Partum/Mother Baby experience

Preferred Qualifications

Antepartum experience
RNC-OB or RNC-MNN certification

Typical Procedures on Unit

Blood/Iron transfusions
Bladder scans

Work Environment

Floating Area: Labor and Delivery
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Schedule: Rotating weekends, no on-call
