Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Kingman, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Orientation: Every Monday
• Charting system: Meditech preferred but not required
• Float: May be required to other Medical Surgical units and PCU
• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Telemetry experience required due to potential for remote Telemetry monitoring
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted equally

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Tech Cert Verification - National
• State License 1 Verification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Must complete facility-specific forms and agreements prior to start
• Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required as applicable
• Float to other units as needed

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required; locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate

This position is ideal for RNs with Medical Surgical experience who are comfortable with Telemetry and flexible scheduling including weekends and floating to other units.
