Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Nights)

Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

• Night shift position
• Work approximately 36-40 hours per week
• Orientation sessions available regularly throughout the year
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
• Required to manage patients with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
• Medication management includes titration of Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required; Iowa license offered and required as well
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous RN experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: At least 1 prior travel contract preferred (not strictly required)
• Must not have been employed by this employer within the last 12 months
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• Work history/resume required
• License verification required
• Copy of required certifications
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required

This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with Med Surg/Telemetry and PCU patients, who are flexible with floating and have experience managing complex lines and titratable medications.
