Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with experience in adult critical care, emergency department (ED), and transport. This is a travel contract position with an ASAP start date.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience working with adult patients
  • Adult critical care experience
  • Emergency Department (ED) experience
  • Transport experience

Additional Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana).
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required.
  • Immunization documentation including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption.
  • N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually.
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information.
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as required.

Notes

  • Locals within 60 miles may be considered at a different rate.
  • Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function.
  • This position requires working overnight shifts and some weekend coverage.
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete all required documentation and verifications prior to start.
