Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Floating: Yes, may float between units
On-call: No
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Block Schedules: No
Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:3
Special Requirements: Neuro ICU experience preferred if available

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Requirements

References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable ICU setting within the last 3 years
Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment history
Skills Checklist: Annual update required for applicable units
Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other units within reasonable distance
Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required prior to start

Scheduling & Work Environment

Dress code: Solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs for licensed nursing personnel
Free parking available in designated employee/visitor lots

Training & Competency

Completion of required WorkRamp modules annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for ICU
- Trauma-informed care (effective for new and extended placements)
Epic system training modules required for some regions (if applicable)

Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
Contract length is interpreted as 16 weeks.
Neuro ICU experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Floating between units is expected.
