Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM, every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call Requirements: None


Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience required. This role is based in a Respiratory Therapy unit providing care across all patient age ranges, including ICU, NICU, and ED settings.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Neonate patients
  • ICU, NICU, and ED experience
  • Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC, NRP, PALS

Unit Procedures and Responsibilities

  • Perform ABGs
  • Assist with intubation
  • Administer nebulizer treatments
  • Use Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT therapies
  • Provide care to patients of all ages with good customer service skills

Work Environment and Policies

  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Dress code:
    • Black scrubs required (purchase required)
    • Clean, healthy nails (no artificial or gel nails)
    • Neat, clean hair; pulled back if shoulder length or longer
    • Tattoos should be covered when possible
    • Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

Additional Notes

  • Floating and attendance policies will be followed as per company guidelines.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
