Description
Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology (EP)
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: None
Unit Overview
- Unit: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Number of Beds: 1 lab
- Staffing: 3-4 staff per procedure, including anesthesia
- Day Shift Staff: 3-4 (mix of techs, RNs, and supervisor)
- Night Shift Staff: None
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: Philips
- EMR System: Meditech
- Typical Procedures:
- Standard implant procedures
- All EP ablation cases except VT
- Watchman procedures
- Work Environment: Very busy lab with a strong sense of urgency
- Team Engagement: 4th highest engagement score in hospital; great team atmosphere
- Dress Code: Scrubs provided by hospital
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
