Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day/Evening shifts, 8 and 12-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Weekend rotation as needed, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- No on-call required
- Flexibility required based on operational needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an MRI Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Certification:
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR
- ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Licensure
- Must hold appropriate MRI Technologist certification/license as noted above
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 90 days prior to start date, including nationwide and local searches
- Monthly monitoring through workforce monitoring systems after hire
- Wisconsin Caregiver Screening within 90 days of start (state-mandated)
- Drug screening per standard clinical requirements
- Physical exam (collected to meet agency standard, not facility required)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- TB test or chest X-ray (with specific guidelines for positive history)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titers, with medical/religious exemptions accepted
- Varicella vaccination or titer, with exemptions accepted
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination form (if applicable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required annually during flu season)
- Other vaccines or declinations as required by department or state regulations
Testing and Competency
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments
- Telemetry testing not required for this specialty (MRI Tech)
Additional Notes
- Two clinical references within the last 3 years required (agency standard)
- Employment application and annual skills checklist required
- Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines (passport-style, no selfies or headwear except religious/medical)
- Various facility-specific forms and waivers may be required, including communicable disease and vaccine exemption forms
Prior Travel Experience
