Registered Nurse (Long Term Care) - Contract Position

Location: Honakaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a Long Term Care facility located on-site at a hospital.
• Responsibilities include:

  • Patient assessments and treatments
  • Medication administration
  • Communicating pertinent information to MD/NP
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
  • Gastrostomy tube care
  • Urinary catheter care
  • Nebulizer treatments
  • Wound vac care
  • CPAP care
  • Other assigned nursing duties
• Shift schedule varies with 8-hour shifts:

  • Days: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Includes weekends, holidays, and potential overtime rotation.
• No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii.
• Minimum 2 years of Long Term Care nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

• Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Timely arrival is mandatory; do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.
