Diagnostic Radiology Technologist
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Job Description
- Position in Diagnostic Radiology department as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Work involves imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, with a high volume of surgery cases.
- Facility is a Level One Trauma Center.
- Typical shifts are 8 hours, with occasional 12-hour shifts as needed.
- Weekend work required approximately every third weekend (may vary for travelers).
- No call, standby, or holiday requirements.
- Scrubs are provided only when assigned in the OR; no specific scrub color required.
- Orientation period of 10 days.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
- Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (MR) or NMTCB certification
- IEMA certification
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Operating Room (OR) experience
Additional Information
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred.
- Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required.
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours.
- Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
Equipment & Systems
- Imaging equipment includes OEC and Carestream.
- EMR system used: Epic.
Scheduling & Work Environment
- Shifts primarily 8 hours, occasional 12-hour shifts.
- Weekend coverage approximately every third weekend.
- No call or holiday shifts required.
- Scrubs provided only for OR assignments.
