Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Fort Pierce, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Respiratory Therapy
• Number of Beds: 437
• Staffing:

  • Approximately 60 staff members
  • Day Shift: Director, Manager, Supervisor, 8-10 RRTs
  • Night Shift: Supervisor, 8-10 RRTs
• Patient Procedures: Approximately 44-46 procedures per shift
• Equipment Used: Servo I ventilators, nebulizer, Hamilton, V60, Astral CPAP & BIPAP machines, ABGs, CPT
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Job Description

• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with collaborative physician relationships
• Active disciplinary approach with a patient care focus

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
• Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of acute care hospital RRT experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, NBRC

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Previous experience with Meditech EMR system
