Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Information

  • Unit: Respiratory NICU/PICU
  • Setting: Acute care hospital, Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • Equipment used: High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, regular nebulizers
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Floating policy: May provide coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.

Job Description

  • Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases
  • Utilize advanced technologies and medication delivery
  • Work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environment
  • Team player with critical thinking and patient care focus required
  • Dress code: Light Gray (Silver) uniform

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
  • Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
  • Experience working with Neonate and Pediatric patients
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC, NRP, PALS

Additional Information

  • Unit staffing includes Director, Manager, Supervisor/Charge Therapist per shift, and regular staff
  • The role may require adaptability to change and coverage flexibility
  • The facility is a tertiary care and teaching hospital with multiple specialty designations
