Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician - Operating Room

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with broad surgical knowledge and experience across multiple service lines including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma. Advanced skills are required in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular procedures with a minimum skill level of 3 in these areas.

• Unit: Operating Room
• Number of Beds: 815
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Scheduling: Variable schedule with call required
• Floating: May float to other departments
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scrubs: Provided by facility

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in the specialty
• Must have advanced skills in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular surgical procedures (skill level 3 or higher)

Additional Information

• Procedures performed on unit are variable and cover a wide range of surgical specialties.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
