Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Overview

  • Main Operating Room with 13 ORs
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • Team includes RNs, Surgical Techs, Support Staff, Board Runners
  • Equipment used: Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, DIV Xi Robots (x2), MAKO Navigation, OMNI Navigation
  • Documentation system: MEDITECH
  • Scheduling: Call shifts, 4-5 per 4 weeks, weekend rotation, no set schedule but reasonable
  • Floating policy: Required to float to other areas if ORs are shut down (internal first, then external help)
  • Dress code: Scrubs provided by facility

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Operating Room (OR) nursing, including experience within the last year
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
  • Orthopedic (Ortho) major joint experience
  • General OR experience
  • Urology experience (open & cysto)
  • Minor vascular experience
  • Advanced orthopedic skills required
