Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in the Operating Room Surgical Services unit.
• Unit includes 7 OR suites.
• Typical procedures include Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Gynecology, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Podiatry, and Dental surgeries.
• Use of EMR system (Meditech).
• Work schedule includes rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
• Working holidays are required.
• Hospital-supplied scrubs with a specific scrub color dress code.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification must be in hand prior to submission.
• Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New Hampshire state license required.
• HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in a Healthcare Setting.
• General knowledge and skills to scrub most surgical specialties.
• Preferred experience with Orthopedics (Totals & Trauma), Neurosurgery, General Surgery, and Robotics.
• Friendly, professional, and self-motivated personality fit.

Additional Information

• No floating to other areas.
• Typical staff includes RNs, CSTs, CST/FAs, and orderlies.
• Candidates without the required skills and certifications will not be considered.
