Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry/Stepdown (Days)

Location: Muscatine, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The patient population is acute, including critical drips and gtts, and you must be comfortable working in this environment.

Work Schedule & Environment

• 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours
• Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates
• Patient ratios vary from 1:2-3 up to 1:6 depending on acuity
• Must be comfortable floating to the Emergency Room (ER)
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license in hand (must apply for Illinois license when offered)
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Stepdown nursing
• Experience with acute patient care including Bipap and critical care gtts
• Prior travel experience not required (first-time travelers accepted)
• Must have EPIC experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Work history/resume
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• License verification
• Copy of required certifications
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility

This position is ideal for RNs with solid Med Surg and Stepdown experience who are comfortable with acute care patients and looking for a temporary assignment in Iowa.
