Job Opportunity: Allied Health Professional - Rapid Response
Location: Gainesville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Rehabilitation Unit
- Number of Beds: 30
- Number of Staff: 22 (including PT, OT, SLP, Tech)
- Shift: Day shift only with weekend rotation required
- Patient Ratios: 7:1
- Equipment: Typical inpatient rehab gym equipment (balance, gait systems)
- Documentation System: Meditech (Expanse)
Job Description
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- No reported attendance concerns, no return to office (RTO), special scheduling, or early cancels
- Typical procedures include patient evaluations, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, family/patient education, therapeutic exercises, and functional training
- New hospital and unit startup beginning 5/5
- Dress code: Light gray scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Rehab Technician, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Education related to USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk or completion of Healthstream courses covering topics such as annual compliance, Baxter Sigma Spectrum Pump training, code of conduct orientation, HHCCA de-escalation skills, HHCCA ECG curriculum, general orientation, and Pyxis Medstation ES 1.5 training
