MRI Technologist (General Imaging)

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in MRI suites with a focus on general imaging including ortho, neuro, GI, and breast imaging.
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Patient ratio is 1:1.
• Perform MRI guided biopsies and breast biopsies.
• Must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• No cardiac pacemaker scanning required.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT-M (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - MRI)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Support and Team

• Transporter available on 1st and 2nd shifts.
• Radiology Assistant and Radiologist support.
• Lead Tech or seasoned MRI Tech present at all times.
• Two MRI Techs per shift.
• Additional support from Phlebotomy, Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and Hospitalists.

Technology and Equipment

• EMR system: EPIC
• Medication dispensing system: Pyxis
• MRI Equipment: Siemens 1.5 Tesla Magnet

Orientation and Scheduling

• One-day orientation provided.
• No on-call requirements.
• Holiday work only if needed (to be discussed during interview).
• Scheduled hours: Saturday and Sunday 12-hour shifts each, plus either Monday or Friday for an additional 12-hour shift.
