Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: None
- Orientation:
- Unit orientation from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Hospital orientation during week one; full availability required for classes each day
- Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability; missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel start
- Scrubs: Royal blue
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with chest imaging and image post-processing
Patient Population
- Preferred familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
Equipment & Systems
- Special equipment: GE and Siemens MRI machines
- Unit systems: EPIC for medication, documentation, and communication
Additional Information
- Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
- Consolidation to a centralized office and reassignment to different units may occur mid-contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in North Carolina
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI technology, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Valid ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in MRI imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal system
- Proficiency with diffusion MRI (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1 MRI techniques
- Experience working with adolescent and geriatric patient populations
