Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None
• Orientation:

  • Unit orientation from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Hospital orientation during week one; full availability required for classes each day
  • Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability; missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel start
• Scrubs: Royal blue

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with chest imaging and image post-processing

Patient Population

• Preferred familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatric patients

Equipment & Systems

• Special equipment: GE and Siemens MRI machines
• Unit systems: EPIC for medication, documentation, and communication

Additional Information

• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
• Consolidation to a centralized office and reassignment to different units may occur mid-contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in North Carolina
• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI technology, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Valid ARRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in MRI imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal system
• Proficiency with diffusion MRI (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1 MRI techniques
• Experience working with adolescent and geriatric patient populations
