Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Chewelah, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Position floats between units and may require travel to a nearby facility (~25 minutes away).
  • On-call: No
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington.
  • Minimum of one year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Respiratory Therapist.

    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual update required)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
  • Fit mask testing required (annual update).

Training & Competency

  • Must complete required competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.
  • Facility-specific and regional training modules required annually via LMS platform.
  • Epic charting training modules required.
  • Specialty-specific WorkRamp modules required for travel and per diem caregivers.
  • Basic trauma-informed care training required.

Additional Notes

  • Floating policy acknowledgment required due to possible assignment at multiple facilities.
  • References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
  • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
  • Skills checklists may be required depending on unit assignment.
