Location: Olympia, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10 Weekday Nights (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM)

Job Description
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures including setup, scanning, and processing images. Key duties include:
- Communicating with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families
- Performing contrast injections
- Conducting quality control and reporting tasks
- Maintaining daily schedules
- Assisting radiologists
- Operating and maintaining MRI and auxiliary equipment
The MRI unit uses a Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T magnet and operates under ACR imaging and safety guidelines. The hospital provides 24/7 care for both inpatients and outpatients, emphasizing MRI safety and quality imaging for excellent patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience (higher experience requirement applies if conflicting info)
- ARRT (R) certification
- ARRT MR certification
- Washington State MRI Technologist License
- BLS certification
- No pending licenses accepted
- Locals residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract
- First-time travelers accepted
- No on-call required

- 325 staffed beds
- Charting system: EPIC
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screening: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask testing required annually (specific mask types accepted)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
- Skills checklist updated annually as applicable
Training & Competency
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable
- Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
- Epic training modules may be required depending on assignment
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
Notes
