Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1 year of experience or a first-timer in the specialty of Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics. This is a travel contract position at a short-term acute care facility with Level III Trauma Center designation.

Work Schedule & Environment

• Rotating weekends required
• Block schedules required
• No floating between units
• No on-call required
• Patient ratios vary, points-based system
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Any color allowed on all units
• Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Required Compliance & Documentation

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination
• Respirator safety clearance required annually for respirator use
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility and regional mandatory training modules annually via LMS platform
• Fit mask testing required annually (except for Medical Lab Technicians)
• Compliance with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable
• Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• No floating between units expected, but float policy acknowledgment required in case of reasonable distance float requests.
• This position does not require on-call duties.
