Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Euclid, Ohio

Job Description

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Must work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety exam required during orientation (passing scores mandatory)

Required Experience

• Minimum of 18 months recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Must have 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel assignment

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Recent Epic electronic charting experience (within last 6 months) is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience of at least 1.5 years, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Must pass baseline competency exams on medication administration and ECG interpretation during orientation
• Must complete all required documentation and verifications prior to start
• Candidates with gaps in employment longer than 6 months may need to repeat onboarding and competency testing
• Candidates must be prepared to complete fingerprinting both through the agency and at the facility

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• References must be from employment within one year of start date
• Application must include at least 3 years prior work history, including 2 years in acute care and similar specialty area
• Holiday work is required at least every other holiday during the contract
