Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Kingman, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Orientation occurs every Monday.
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience but not required).
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed.
• Weekend shifts every other weekend.
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients.
• Experience required: Minimum 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have experience with Telemetry due to potential for remote Telemetry monitoring.
• Both local nurses and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Information

• A clear, passport-style photo with a solid background is required for badge issuance.
• Completion of facility-specific security, confidentiality, behavioral expectations, HIPAA, and other compliance forms is mandatory prior to start.
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
• Float assignments may require flexibility to work in other Medical-Surgical units.

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position. Both local nurses and first-time travelers are welcome.
