Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Minot, North Dakota
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)
Shift: AM

Job Description

• Perform Nuclear Medicine studies, including preparation, measurement, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes under Radiologist supervision.
• Conduct quality control and calibration testing on cameras and radiation measuring equipment following hospital policies.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols for handling, use, and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Mostly general imaging procedures; experience with stress tests, HIDA, Bone scans, and PET/CT is helpful but not required.
• Ability to start IVs for contrast administration.
• Properly charge procedures using the hospital information system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in North Dakota
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Registered or registry-pending with ARRT or NMTCB
• Licensed by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRTBE)
• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine School program
• Recent travel experience
