Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Kingwood, Texas

Unit: Emergency Department
Number of Beds: 28
Number of Staff: 15
Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: Charge nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
- Night Shift: Charge nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
Patient Ratio: 4:1
EMR System: Meditech

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

IV starts
Blood draws
Resuscitation
EKGs
Other typical emergency nursing duties

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications:
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Work Schedule & Environment

Work 4 weekend shifts per month
No on-call required
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Personality Fit: Active, personable

Additional Notes

Floating is not required for this position
Unit uses standard emergency department policies and guidelines
