MRI Technologist Travel Opportunity

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist will perform a variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and help facilitate efficient patient flow. Flexibility to work different shifts and locations as needed is required. The role includes troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance (QA), and resolving issues related to image processing and archiving systems. The technologist will also perform MRI safety screening and maintain imaging competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations and procedures to assist patient throughput.
• Support radiologists and referring physicians to promote physician satisfaction.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and standards.
• Adapt patient care methods to meet unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with appropriate personnel for repairs.
• Follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues as needed.
• Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within licensure scope.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and adherence to organizational values and policies.
• Work weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 7 AM to 11 PM) with on-call shifts overnight.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or clinical setting (Level I or Level II hospital experience required).
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• BLS certification (AHA only) required.

• This is a full-time travel assignment.
