Description

Registered Nurse - Step Down

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can be up to 1:5-6
Shift options: 36 or 48 hours per week (Overtime paid after 48 hours)
Must have EPIC experience
Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment before starting
Experience with stable chronic ventilators required
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification
IV start preferred
Minimum 1.5 years of experience preferred, with some level 1 or 2 experience preferred
Prior travel experience preferred (not required)
Floating required: traveler may float within specialty clusters and to nearby campuses (within 15 miles)
Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts or contract with notice
Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Minimum 1.5 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with stable chronic ventilators
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
