Registered Nurse - Step Down
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can be up to 1:5-6
- Shift options: 36 or 48 hours per week (Overtime paid after 48 hours)
- Must have EPIC experience
- Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment before starting
- Experience with stable chronic ventilators required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification
- IV start preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience preferred, with some level 1 or 2 experience preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred (not required)
- Floating required: traveler may float within specialty clusters and to nearby campuses (within 15 miles)
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
- Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts or contract with notice
- Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1.5 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with stable chronic ventilators
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
