Location: Aspen, Colorado

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens across all sections of the Clinical Laboratory as a generalist. Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining data for diagnosis and treatment of disease
• Exercising independent judgment to evaluate the validity of test results before reporting
• Operating and calibrating all equipment in the area of specialization
• Communicating test procedures and results with physicians, pathologists, and nursing staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
• ASCP certification
• Minimum of 3 years of Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience
• Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC system
• Experience with Vitros, Unity, and WellSky systems
• ASCP specialty certifications
• Bilingual in Spanish
