Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology. This is a travel contract position with a 4x9 schedule (7:00 AM - 4:30 PM) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Call coverage is required weekday evenings and weekends.


Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of specialty experience preferred (2 years considered but 3 years is preferred)
  • Prior travel experience required; no first-time travelers accepted

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (7:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Call: Weekday 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM and weekend 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Target patient ratio: 1:2

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • NMTCB certification required
  • Valid New Hampshire state license required
  • ACLS (AHA Provider only)
  • BLS (AHA Provider only)
  • PALS (AHA Provider only)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
  • NIH Stroke Certification (preferred or required depending on unit)
  • Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 48 hours of contract start
  • Pass/Fail testing for EKG/Medication awareness required

Orientation and Systems

  • Orientation: 8 hours
  • Unit systems include EPIC, Intelerad, Cardiology PACS

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Comprehensive background check within 30 days of start, including Social Security verification, criminal searches, education verification, and sex offender registry
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start (no exceptions)
  • Respiratory safety clearance required via virtual questionnaire
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Flu vaccination (seasonal, with exemptions allowed)
    • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (exemptions allowed)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
    • Titers or vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Facility-specific immunization waivers and exemption forms may be required for religious or medical reasons

Additional Requirements

  • Two current professional references within the last 3 years, including one from a supervisor or charge RN
  • Employment application and skills checklist required
  • Annual internal evaluation required for travelers with more than one year of service
  • State-specific registry results required for New Hampshire placements

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Hampshire
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment
  • NMTCB certification
  • NH State License or equivalent State License

Notes

  • Travelers who have previously worked for the associated health system are not eligible regardless of separation time.
  • Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered with adjusted terms.
  • Candidates must complete all required authorizations and background checks prior to start.
  • Facility requires documentation of OSHA education and safety manual acknowledgment.
