Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Operating Room procedures with proficiency in C-arm and O-arm coverage. The role involves performing X-ray procedures during surgical interventions in various healthcare settings including outpatient, inpatient, and Level I Trauma centers.


Work Schedule

  • 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4x10's)
  • On-call responsibilities required

Responsibilities

  • Provide C-arm and O-arm imaging coverage in the Operating Room
  • Perform X-ray procedures for surgical interventions
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in the field

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
  • Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience working in Level I Trauma and teaching hospital settings
  • Proficiency as an X-Ray Technician, including surgical X-ray procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

  • Work experience in outpatient, inpatient, Operating Room, Level I Trauma, and teaching hospital environments
  • Experience with surgical X-ray procedures and C-arm imaging

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and state fingerprinting (BCI/FBI)
  • Monthly monitoring through workforce screening systems
  • Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and freedom from contagious disease
  • Immunizations and health documentation required:
    • Tdap vaccine (adult dose)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (mask required if declining)
  • Annual acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
  • Required certifications must be verified within 30 days of start, including license verification

References and Documentation

  • Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership
  • Employment application and skills checklist required
  • Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are not yet available at start

Additional Notes

  • Orientation and unit-specific competency exams may be required
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for applicable roles
  • ACLS certification may be required depending on unit assignment
  • Fingerprinting must be completed using specific state codes and within required timeframes
  • Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and training requirements
