Job Description

• Must have 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Must hold a valid Florida RRT or CRT license at time of submission.
• Required certifications in hand at time of submission:

  • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• All requests for time off and scheduling must be communicated during submission and interview.
• Complete and include all prior work history, including any previous positions with the employer, in your profile.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Current NBRC credential
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Must carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
• Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if there is a break in service of 2 or more months.
• FBI and state fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding.
• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions.
• Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start; must be updated annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start; annual renewal required.
• Required immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31).
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required.
• Employment application must include at least 3 years of prior work history, including 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting relevant to the assignment.
• Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist required; must be updated annually.
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours).

Additional Notes

• Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU specialty) have additional fingerprinting and certification requirements.
• All documentation and compliance requirements must be met prior to start of assignment.
• Badge pickup and onboarding occur onsite after completion of required modules and documentation.

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists licensed in Florida seeking a travel contract opportunity in a hospital setting with a 12-week assignment duration.
