Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Thursday - Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, Saturday only
- On-call: No
- Floating: No floating between service lines or other facilities
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Certifications & Compliance
- ARRT (MR) certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Background check including 7 years of history and various federal/state registries
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Immunizations and titers as required (e.g., Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B)
- Respirator medical clearance annually
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Facility-specific orientation modules and documentation must be completed prior to start
- Photo for badge (passport-style, solid light background) required
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references, including at least one from the unit of assignment
- Employment history verification for last 3 clinical employers
- Completion of facility-specific forms and agreements prior to start
- Compliance with facility policies during hurricane season (June-November) including possible emergency response assignments

- Acute care hospital setting
- Approximately 200 staffed beds
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking: Free
- Scrub colors: Black, Teal, or Grey
Notes
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius
- Travelers must be prepared to complete all required documentation and certifications before starting
- Orientation modules take approximately 2 hours and must be completed on a computer (not a phone)
