Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM
Call Requirements:

• Primary and secondary call 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends
• Holiday call required (department closed on holidays)
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Job Description

• Work in Interventional Radiology with 6 labs/suites (pre-op and phase 2 recovery)
• Average 20-30 cases per day
• Patient types include GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, vascular cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 during procedures, up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
• Charge RN coverage from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (does not take patients)
• Support staff includes 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)
• Surgical scrubs provided
• Unit-specific orientation: 5 days

Required Certifications & Skills

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
