• Weekends: Required every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2-week period
• Floating: Yes, will float between like units across multiple nearby campuses

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Case Management experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment

• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center
• Total staffed beds: 571 (across campuses)
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
• Parking: Facility paid

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification required (nursing degree verification for RNs)
• Drug screening (9 panel) within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health documents required including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID vaccination documentation preferred (declinations accepted)
• Respirator clearance required for travel candidates (annual)
• Fit mask testing required (annual) for travel candidates
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years

Additional Notes

• Candidate may be required to float to other units within a reasonable distance
• Must comply with all facility-specific and state-specific background and licensing requirements
• Completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules annually via LMS platform
• Candidates must complete Epic training modules as assigned
• Physical presence onsite required; remote work not applicable
• Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment with diverse patient populations

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse Case Manager with at least 1 year of acute care and discharge planning experience. The role requires flexibility to float between units, weekend work every other weekend, and compliance with comprehensive health, background, and training requirements.
