Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology (IR) (Days)
Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care for patients before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.
- Care for patients undergoing structural heart procedures (including Watchman), lead extractions, ablations, vascular and EP pacemaker/device patients.
- Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care, and patient education.
- Circulate and assist during cases, including sterile dropping of procedural supplies on tray, scrubbing in, and running for supplies.
- Record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
- Assist Radiologic Technologists in circulating cases and sterile dropping of procedural supplies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Invasive Imaging experience is required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification (current).
- American Heart Association ACLS certification (current).
- Work history and skills checklist pertinent to specialty, current within 1 year.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
- Electrophysiology experience preferred but not required.
Additional Information
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic.
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates will not be considered).
This position involves specialized nursing care in interventional radiology and electrophysiology settings, requiring strong procedural knowledge and patient management skills.
