Description

Cardiac Cath Lab Technician (Contract)

Job Description

Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 rooms: 1 EP/Cath room and 1 Cath Lab.
Participate in a 24/7, 365 STEMI Program.
Collaborate effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills.
Willingness to teach and educate others.
Floating limited to rooms within the department and the pre-op area.

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses

Diagnostics and interventional procedures.
Femoral and radial approach.
IFR, FFR, Balloon pumps.

Average Cases Per Day

Approximately 4 cases daily.

Required Licensure & Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support).
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
Experience with balloon pumps and temporary pacers.
Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

Technology / Equipment Used

EMR system: EPIC.
Hemodynamic monitoring: Maclab.
IV Pump: Alaris.
Medication dispensing system: Pyxis.
Imaging: GE C-arms.
PACS system.

Support Within the Department

Receptionist/HUC.
Respiratory therapy.
Hospitalist.

Additional Information

Scrub color provided.
Free parking available.

Contract Length

13 weeks.

Travel Experience

First-time travelers are accepted; prior travel experience is not required.
