Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Lamar, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will provide direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and care for the newborn. Responsibilities include:

• Performing assessments and monitoring labor progress
• Preparing for C-sections and inductions
• Administering care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including infant care
• Providing patient education and emotional support
• Preparing delivery rooms and coordinating transfers
• Administering IV medications
• Adhering to infection control principles and OB department policies

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Minimum 7 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Working Conditions

• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• May require shift and area rotation based on staffing and census
• On-call duties required
• Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, heavy lifting, and exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases
