Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology ICC / Emergency Room
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Summary
This position is for a Registered Nurse with experience in Oncology ICC (Intermediate Care Center) and Emergency Room (ER) settings. The role requires floating between the ICC and ED units as needed.
Unit Details
- ICC serves patients with hematology, oncology, and sickle cell conditions.
- Patients range from urgent to non-urgent but are generally more stable than typical ER patients.
- The unit is smaller, fostering strong staff relationships and a supportive environment.
- Nurses will develop diverse skills and build relationships with patients in a less acute setting.

Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
- Oncology nursing experience.
- Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
- At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Certifications & Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting.
- Education accreditation verification from an accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA).
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring.
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease.
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies.
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership.
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually.
