Cardiac Cath Lab Technician (Contract)

Job Description

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 rooms: 1 EP/Cath room and 1 Cath Lab.
• Participate in a 24/7, 365 STEMI Program.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to teach and educate others.
• Floating limited to rooms within the department and the pre-op area.

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses

• Diagnostics and interventional procedures.
• Femoral and radial approach.
• IFR, FFR, Balloon pumps.

Average Cases Per Day

• Approximately 4 cases daily.

Required Licensure & Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Experience with balloon pumps and temporary pacers.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

Technology / Equipment Used

• EMR system: EPIC.
• Hemodynamic monitoring: Maclab.
• IV Pump: Alaris.
• Medication dispensing system: Pyxis.
• Imaging: GE C-arms.
• PACS system.

Support Within the Department

• Receptionist/HUC.
• Respiratory therapy.
• Hospitalist.

• Scrub color provided.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.

Travel Experience

• First-time travelers are accepted; prior travel experience is not required.
