Job Opportunity: Special Procedures Tech
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Unit: Angiography / Interventional Radiology (IR) Labs
- Number of Beds: 3 Angiography Labs (2 Dedicated IR Labs, 1 Hybrid OR)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: Teams typically include Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, RCIS (3-4 person teams with 2 Techs and 2 RNs)
- Equipment Used: IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, Jet Stream
- Documentation System: EPIC Cupid
- Shift Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours each, with on-call requirements
- Floating Policy: Not applicable
- Patient Population: High acuity, including ICU and ER patients
- Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center
- Stroke Center: Certified Stroke Center
Job Description
- Perform specialized procedures including Permcath, Port Placement, Thrombectomy, Atherectomy, TVAR, TIPS, EVAR, PE interventions, Stroke, and Trauma care
- Manage critical care drips and provide care in Angio/IR settings, including stroke and trauma cases
- Work in a high-acuity environment with advanced interventional technology
Required Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT or RTR certification
- ICU and ER experience
