Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Operating Room procedures with proficiency in C-arm and O-arm coverage. The role involves performing X-ray procedures in surgical settings across outpatient, inpatient, and Level I Trauma environments.
Work Schedule
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (4x10)
- 2nd shift starting at 10am or 11am
- On-call responsibilities required
Responsibilities
- Provide C-arm and O-arm imaging coverage in the Operating Room
- Perform X-ray procedures for surgical interventions
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Radiologic Technologist certification with ARRT registration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience
- Work settings: Outpatient, Inpatient, Operating Room, Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital
- Experience with surgical X-ray procedures and C-arm imaging
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and state fingerprinting
- Monthly monitoring through federal exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
- Education accreditation verification for Radiologic Technologist certification
- Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting required with specific state codes and timelines
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
- Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titers)
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions reviewed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) with mask requirement if declined
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leader
- Employment application and skills checklist required prior to start
- Unit-specific competency exams and ongoing certification renewals may be required
