Job Opportunity: Ambulatory Care LVN / LPN

Location: Rochester, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
• Weekend: Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Floating: Required
• Experience: Ambulatory and Pediatrics experience preferred
• First Time Travelers: Accepted
• Locals: Accepted

Job Description

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Completed competencies including but not limited to:

  • Rooming patients
  • Injections
  • EKG
  • Nasopharyngeal swabs
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Ear flushes
• Must be flexible, dependable, punctual, adaptable, and have strong communication skills
• Willingness to work collaboratively with others

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in New York
• Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Ambulatory Care experience
• Pediatrics experience

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Floating between units is part of the role
• This position involves ambulatory care settings with pediatric patient exposure
