Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- ICU Registered Nurse position
- Shift: 4x12 hour shifts, 1900-0730
- Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per contract)
- Holiday rotation as needed
- Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care (IMC) as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
- Successful completion of Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care (IMC) units
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
- Up-to-date immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start and updated annually (not required for sterile processing techs)
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
- Skills checklist and competency exams updated annually
Notes
- Cerner electronic health record system experience preferred
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate (pay details excluded)
- Orientation and facility-specific modules required prior to start
- Must be able to work night shifts and float as needed
- Background checks and attestations required prior to start and periodically thereafter
